In April, a local photographer was looking for 15 women to invite to her studio for portrait sessions & a feature on her blog & website. She wanted to hear our stories. She wanted to give a voice to women who have overcome adversity, found strength in themselves, & who are willing to share their story to offer hope and encouragement to others.
I decided this was a perfect way to share my story even more with those in the community and I reached out to Erin Valkner. We met, I shared parts of my story, and we scheduled the photoshoot.
On May 22nd, we had the shoot and I was so nervous. I have done shoots before but mainly as family and not just me plus I was going to really take some chances with some of these photos. But this opportunity came at such a perfect time of my journey.
You can go here to read the blog she posted as I answered some very important questions about when, what, how, etc.
Here are some photos as well!!
The journey of a someone who was unhappy and had no self esteem. Someone who didn't believe in herself. A person who needed to find her WHY and who she truly was. Needing to find her way back to her roots.
